a. Information You Provide

  • Account details: name, email address, and password when you register.
  • Pet profile information: pet name, species, breed, age, weight, and sex.
  • Payment information: processed securely by Razorpay; we do not store card numbers.

b. Information Collected Automatically

  • Camera images and video: photos/scans of your pet's body, coat, and food bowl captured through the App.
  • Health scan data: outputs from our AI analysis including Health Scores, coat condition assessments, and diet assessments.
  • Device information: device model, operating system, unique device identifiers, and crash logs.
  • Usage data: features accessed, scan frequency, session duration, and in-app interactions.
  • Location data (optional): city-level only, used to tailor vet recommendations.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and operate the Peit app, including generating your pet's daily Health Score.
  • Process subscriptions and payments via Razorpay.
  • Send push notifications about your pet's Health Score changes (you may opt out in device settings).
  • Improve our AI models for pet health analysis (using anonymised and aggregated data only).
  • Respond to customer support requests.
  • Comply with applicable laws and legal obligations.
  • Detect fraud and ensure the security of our platform.

3. Camera and Photo Access

Peit requires camera access to perform body scans, coat assessments, and meal scans. Images captured through the App are transmitted securely to our servers for AI analysis. We do not share raw pet images with third parties for advertising or commercial purposes. You may revoke camera permission at any time in your device settings, though this will prevent the App from functioning.

4. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:

  • Service providers: cloud infrastructure (Google Cloud), payment processing (Razorpay), analytics, and customer support tools — each bound by confidentiality obligations.
  • Legal authorities: when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of users or the public.
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with appropriate notice.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data and pet health records for as long as your account is active, or as required by applicable law. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing us at the address below. Scan images used for AI model improvement are retained in anonymised, aggregated form.

6. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS/TLS encryption in transit, encrypted storage at rest, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children's Privacy

Peit is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
