These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Peit mobile application operated by PEIT AI PRIVATE LIMITED ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account and use the App. By using the App, you represent that you meet this requirement and that all information you provide is accurate and current.

2. Description of Service

PEIT AI PRIVATE LIMITED develops, manages, and maintains an AI-powered pet health platform that enables pet owners to monitor, manage, and proactively protect their pet's wellbeing through intelligent technology. The Peit App uses image-based AI to analyse body condition, coat health, and diet, while tracking behaviour over time and maintaining a complete digital health history that is exportable and shareable with veterinarians. The platform also stores medical and vaccination records, surfaces appointment reminders, and alerts users to safety concerns such as FDA-recalled pet food — making it a comprehensive system for organised, informed, and proactive pet care.

The App is intended as a general wellness and organisation tool for pet owners and is NOT a substitute for professional veterinary advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Always consult a qualified veterinarian for any concerns about your pet's health. Do not disregard or delay seeking veterinary advice because of information provided by the App.

3. Account Registration

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.
  • We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

a. Plans

Peit offers subscription plans (monthly and annual) as well as a free tier with limited features. Current pricing for each plan is displayed within the App and on our website at the time of purchase.

b. Billing

Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis through the Apple App Store. Payments are processed by Apple and are subject to Apple's payment terms. We do not store your payment card information.

c. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will continue to have access to paid features until the period ends.

d. Refunds

Refund requests for App Store purchases are handled by Apple in accordance with Apple's refund policy. We do not control Apple's refund decisions. You can submit a refund request directly to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

e. Free Trial

Where a free trial is offered, it will convert to a paid subscription at the end of the trial period unless cancelled before the trial ends.

5. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any regulations.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App.
  • Upload or transmit malicious code, viruses, or harmful content.
  • Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access or scrape the App.
  • Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your identity.
  • Use the App to collect data about other users without their consent.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the App — including the Peit name, logo, Health Score system, AI models, and underlying software — are owned by PEIT AI PRIVATE LIMITED and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes only.

7. User-Generated Content

By submitting pet images and data through the App, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, process, and analyse that content for the purpose of providing the Service and improving our AI models (in anonymised, aggregated form). You represent that you own or have the right to submit all content you provide.

8. Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT THE HEALTH SCORES GENERATED ARE MEDICALLY ACCURATE. THE APP IS NOT A VETERINARY SERVICE AND IS NOT INTENDED TO DIAGNOSE, TREAT, CURE, OR PREVENT ANY ANIMAL DISEASE OR CONDITION.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, PEIT AI PRIVATE LIMITED SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP, INCLUDING ANY RELIANCE ON HEALTH SCORE OUTPUTS. OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE THREE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PEIT AI PRIVATE LIMITED, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the App at our sole discretion, with or without notice, for conduct that we determine violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties. Upon termination, your licence to use the App will immediately cease.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the App or by email. Your continued use of the App after the effective date of the revised Terms constitutes your acceptance.
